We all do things in our lives that we are proud of. Sometimes it involves changing an old, bad habit. Sometimes it involves doing something we're apprehensive about, sticking with a change you made, or making a big decision...

What have you done recently that you're proud of? I can't wait to hear.

Hello Monica,

Well....this week my Boyfriend(Software Programer) and I put together two keynote presentations for an upcoming speaking engagement(second one). I am so happy with what we came up with and how we are presenting it...

Okaaaay!...I'm just down right excited about the whole thing...I'm hoping it will bring in more work which I heard through the grape vine it will...hehehe

This is my first time putting together any thing like this before. It was so much fun and I learned a lot about using a laptop w/keynote which has inspired me to go ahead and purchase a Apple Powerbook at the beginning of this next year....there are sooo many benifits and it will help me promote my business along with keeping track of clients and expenses ect.

I am so proud of how this all has turned out and it has given me more confidence in myself as well as how I run my business. I also have to give Jacob(Boyfriend) a lot of credit he has been backing and supporting me in what I do and has been helping me with some good ideas...its so nice having someone like him, he's been a BIG blessing.

Sincerely,
Deborah Erickson

It's not a huge accomplishment of mine but I think one of mine and my daughter' together. We have found a tutor for her Dyslexia, hopefully my daughter will find improvement in her reading ability

I survived 15 days without power compliments of hurricane wilma... .that's one thing! LOL
we got power back this afternoon at home!!!!
and this isn't anything 'major' but today my daughter and I witnessed a wreck and I offered to stay and be a witness and that made a big impact on my daughter, cuz she said "most people don't help they'd just keep driving so why are we stopping" and I explained to her and then I actually knew the cop who showed up on the scene and he ended up giving my daughter a good 'pep' talk plus some stuffed animal or something, which she ended up tellin him to give to someone else who needed it more than her!!! soo he was like "how about dinner sometime" sooooo not only did we stay as witness (and I had a meeting to get to) and then my daughter was 'rewarded' but yet offered her 'reward' to someone else..toooooooooo cool!!!!!!
then again, I may have the only 9 yr old who watches HGTV, StyleNetwork and FoodNetwork over any other tv shows! LOL
she's an unique one, but it was toooo cool today!!!
and i'm rambling (side effect of no power!!!)
Tara :)

Hey Group & Monica --

I updated my phone about 2 weeks ago, and coerced my dh to upgrade me to the Treo PDA/phone since he was getting one from work!

I have tried a PDA in the past without success, and for years have had a love/hate relationship with my Daytimer notebook. I tried the smaller one, the 8x10 for while, and always came back to the 5x7 size, BUT it is way too big and bulky to carry around in my pocketbook (think 5x7 notebook on steroids). I never had it with me when I really needed to update info, make lists, etc.

After 2 weeks on the Treo, I love it!! :-) I have been looking forward to getting one (when the price came down to a somewhat reasonable level) because I loved the idea of integrating my phone w/ phone #'s to their actual addresses in my Outlook, and wanting to use the Outlook calendar for convenience... I'm not even using the email/web stuff yet, although it's there.

I am ALREADY seeing a difference in getting myself to appointments & events, personal tasks that need to get done during a day, lists that need remembering, etc. I can definitely say I am getting MORE productive! I was actually 15 minutes EARLY to my son's meeting last night, and it felt really GOOD -- there was no stress, no fast driving, no dirty looks from the coach!! I am ALWAYS running late, but my goal is to be 15 minutes early to every event & appointment. I'm realizing to meet this goal I will have to better manage my TIME, and be more realistic about things like traffic, last minute kid-crises (like can't find shoes), gathering materials I need to walk out the door. And allow time for them until I can get a better system in place (I can't tell you how many unsuccessful kids' shoe-rack solutions we have been through so far).

And learning how to use the actual time available in a DAY to do specific things, instead of a "rolling" to do list that stays long forever and just gets shuffled from one day to the next because it's impossible to do everything I have listed in a single day.

Sorry this is long! But I'm happy that I am taming the "to do" monster that drags me down every day -- and that I have a better tool to help me organize myself!! Now if it would only do housework.....

Have a great week - Tanya Z.

Roberta,
That is an accomplishment because you TOOK ACTION. Standing still is one of THE biggest obstacles to being organized, productive, effective and joyful in life. Just taking action, getting into motion, is absolutely an accomplishment, so good for you!

I have several accomplishments I'm proud of getting done this past week:

>joining NAPO (got materials today!)
>did some updating around the house- projects hubby wanted done and we got done because he was on vacation.
>making personal appointments for myself.

There is a big difference between thinking about doing something, wanting to do something, and actually doing something...and I'm proud I took the big step and "did it"!

Thanks Monica,

I was so very proud of her. After the sessino, she said
Mom I'm glad that we are going. Big Smiles all around
Felt like a commercial
